DOE NEW REQUIREMNETS ON THE VARIABLE SPEED PUMP IN US.

Energy efficiency is now the top consideration in the whole world, and different areas are having different regulations to save energy. In US, after July 19, 2021, variable speed pumps will soon replace many single-speed pool and spa pumps that do not meet the minimum efficiency requirements set by the Department of Energy (DOE). All pumps manufactured after this date must meet the minimum efficiency standards established for American households and businesses.

The standard is such that any single speed pumps operating at 0.711 HHP or higher (up to approximately 2.5 HHP) do not meet the regulations, and should be replaced with variable speed technology. However, there are still minimum efficiency requirements for pumps less than 0.711 HHP, and not all single speed pumps meet those requirements.

Variable speed pump is trend in pool pump business, and we are professional manufacture on variable speed pump, we have experienced engineers focusing on the technology. Our pumps already pass the new 2021 DOE regulation, newest Energy Star regulation, CEC, CE, ETL, and SAA.
Variable speed pump not only use in in-ground pool, also can be used in above ground pools, we have variable speed pool pump for above ground pools like our AGP2115, FW1515,FB2115 and SPP series.

If your current pump fails, you can choose to upgrade to a more efficient unit. For example, you may want to buy a variable speed swimming pool pump. However, if you want to replace your pump with another large single-speed model, you can still do so. As we will have single and two speed pass new DOE regulation too, you can contact us by email.
